For this assignment, I chose to focus more on the graphic design aspect of a triptych rather than the narrative of it. However, there is a story being told in this in that it goes from dark to light gradient in the background representing a change in time from night to day. I chose the Eiffel Tower because it's a timeless, well recognized symbol of love and traveling the world. I'm also currently taking French and love the language so I wanted to paint something to commemorate this. I'm very happy with the way it turned out even though it strayed away from the original idea.
